Is hard object produced within soft tissue(specifically the mantle ) of aliving shelled mollusk.Its crushed to form powder.Powdered pearl has a long history of use in face and body powders Pearls are usually white or bluish-grey in colour ,with a fine lustre and being expensive to own ,highly sort after.The practice of powdering pearls for use in cosmetics may have started in China where it continues to this day
